In a heating room with significant outdoor cold air infiltration, studies the heating effects of impinging jet ventilation (IJV) and mixing ventilation (MV) by a series of experiments. The results indicate that the temperatures near the ground are obviously decreased both in the two air supply modes due to the intrusion of outdoor cold air, but the effect scope of cold air in the room with impinging jet ventilation is much smaller than that with mixing ventilation. Although increasing the supply air speed can decrease the temperature gradient of heating room with mixing ventilation and reduce the effect scope of cold air on indoor thermal environment, the heating effect of impinging jet ventilation with lower supply air speed is better.
